Feeling stressed is natural. While it can be good in small amounts, we are almost always likely to feel the bad kind of stress which disrupts your decision making, perception and motivation.
In my workshop, we will work on developing Distress Tolerance Skills that will allow you to manage stress effectively. Moreover, you will develop healthy coping mechanisms through scientific techniques such as Self Soothing, TIPP Skills the STOP Skill, Weighing Pros vs cons, Radical Acceptance, Distraction and Improving the Moment.
Psychological therapies such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Relational Frame Theory will also be used to deconstruct and reconstruct your thought process to become better equipped with stress management in the long term.
We will go from a stage of distress (bad stress) to Eustress (healthy and constructive stress).
