Everyone’s brain has a greater sensitivity to negative stimuli. Human beings are hard-wired for it. So, regardless of whether our personality is that of a pessimist or an optimist, our brains have a natural tendency to zoom in on the bad. What this means is, we can get overwhelmed at times with things that are disappointing or depressing or angering.

College can be an intimidating experience. Ups and downs are inevitable. When you are in college, you want to do well, make great grades, and go on to enjoy a wonderful and fulfilling career. But, there is a lot more than just hard work and studying involved in getting you to that point. You need to be happy with what you are doing. If you are miserable, you aren’t going to put your all into everything that you do, and you aren’t going to enjoy a successful college career. What you need to do is get out of the misery mindset and develop a Positive Mindset.

A positive outlook has many benefits. It can help you keep a clear mind, as well as staying energized and organized.  Positive thinking can also impact others around you. If you’re happy and exuding confidence, your positivity can become contagious. You’ll start to see things fall into place.

This workshop enables students to change their inner dialogue from negative to positive, restructure their cognitive patterns, develop habits that help not hold back, learn the supremacy of visualizing success, being resilient to failures, asking for help and being grateful.
